Little Sisters Volleyball Night 2023 was a huge hit! Thank you to the Lady Eagles volleyball team and coaches for allowing the girls to be a part of the team and being role models for these young girls. Monday, October 16, 2023 1. SR/Jr Beta - permission slips for the clean-up on Tuesday are due on MONDAY! 2. Congratulations VB Lady Eagles on your win over Kingston. 3. Congratulations JH Basketball Teams on your win over Lesterville. 4. The Beta Raffle Tickets, Money, & Fishing Basket Items are due Monday, October 23rd. 5. Students remember extras are not FREE. The Lady Eagles will host Ellington on Monday, October 16th at 5:30. This will be our Little Sister’s night starting at 5:00 the game will be at 5:30. Those working the concession stand will be Justice, Jayton, Ashton, & Paxton. Staff on Duty: Sandy 9. The Lady Eagles will travel to Valley for Districts on Thursday, October 19th at 6:15. The bus will leave at 4:10. 10. The Health Department will be here Wednesday, October 18th for anyone wanting a Flu or Covid shot. If students want a COVID shot, a parent must be present and have a copy of their insurance cards. 11. JH/HS BETA members will be out in the AM 1st-4th hours on Tuesday for BETA clean-up. Students will be responsible for missing work. 12. All Parade Floats MUST have your grade level on them to be readable by judges. 13. The JH Boys Basketball Team will travel to Summersville on Thursday October 19th at 5:00. The bus will leave at 3:20. 14. The Cross-country Teams will travel to Van Buren on Wednesday, October 18th at 2:00. The bus will leave at 12:20. 15. No School on Friday, October 19th for PD Day also, there will be no AV that day.

It is a BUSY week in Eagle Country with LOTS of fundraising activities being held in conjunction with Saturday's Oktoberfest. Bake sale items will be sold before and after school and many other activities (gun & basket raffles, fish fry, t-shirts, poker run, etc) are being held throughout the week for Miss Bunker and Little Miss Bunker candidates. We are looking forward to a fun filled day this Saturday for the 25th Annual Bunker Oktoberfest. Every class will have a float in the parade or a booth at Oktoberfest. Parade begins at 10 am with line-up starting at 9 am.

Anyone that would like to take part in the Kiss the Pig competition, can bring money to school this coming week. I will have the cans set up outside the 2nd grade classroom. Money should be put in the cans in the mornings. Whoever has the most money, has to kiss the pig at Oktoberfest!

The game times for the JHBB tournament at Van Buren have been changed for tomorrow (Thursday, October 12th). The boys will play at 4:15pm and girls at 5:30pm. The bus will leave from school at 1:45pm. Please understand that if they are running ahead of schedule - games could possibly start a little earlier.
