School Board Vacancy Announcement

The Bunker R-III School Board is accepting letters of interest from persons who wish to be considered to fill a vacancy on the Bunker R-III School Board.  The appointment will be for an interim period, beginning once the new board member is sworn in and will continue until the person elected in the April 2018 election is sworn in.
The Board requires all individuals who wish to be eligible for appointment to the Board to meet the eligibility requirement for School Board candidates under Missouri law. 
Letters of intent will be accepted through 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19th, 2017, and may be submitted by fax (573/689-2011), email (tgore@bunkerr3.k12.mo.us), by mail, or in person to:

The Board will invite all eligible applicants to attend a public meeting of the Bunker R-III Board of Education on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at the Bunker R-III School District Board Room at 6:00 p.m.

Attention Parents: To ensure the safety of our students; a new drop off procedure has been implemented immediately. Parents that are bringing their students to school in the morning will be required to drop them off at the steps located above the green wall. NO traffic will be allowed between the green wall and the buildings from 7:30-8:00 am each day that school is in session. Thank you!

  1. Students: The vending machines DO NOT TAKE PENNIES! We have had the vender here twice this year already for repairs and it was full of pennies. The machines ONLY TAKE SILVER (quarters, nickels, & dimes) or dollar bills. Do NOT put change in the dollar bill slot either.
  2. The Lady Eagles volleyball team will have their Little Sister activities tonight when they play Salem. Game time is 6:00 and those working the stand are: E. Bullock, M. Davis, and Mr. Martin.
  3. The Junior High basketball teams will travel to East Carter tomorrow. Game time is 5:00 with the bus leaving at 3:15.
  4. The HS STUCO will have a Blood Drive tomorrow from 1:00-6:00 in the old gym.  STUCO members please stop by my office to see your work schedule. Thank you, Mrs. Barton
  5. Students who wish to give blood need to stop by my office. Students 16 years old need a permission slip and photo ID. 17 year olds can give blood with a photo ID. Thank you, Mrs. Barton
  6. Seniors will be out Thursday afternoon from 11:45 until 3:00p.m. They will be going to Salem for a college day. Students are responsible for any missed work. Thank you, Mrs. Barton
  7. FBLA Members:  Please remember to sell your RADA. The deadline is TODAY. Turn in your order forms and get your receipts from A. Cumins.  Thank you!  Mrs. Crabtree
